I’m a sucker for bold graphics (keep that in mind if you want free links!).  A graph in the always enlightening “By The Numbers” section on Real Clear Markets caught my eye- it definitely fits the criteria.  This article graphs the employment rate amongst people aged 55 and older in various countries, and europe as a whole.  Not that unexpectedly, the United States leads the way in this category.

As stated on RCM, the issue is now in the forefront for countries like Greece which are currently struggling with their finances.  One of the legacy costs hurting countries is the large pensions obligations the countries are racking up.  Of the PIIGS countries, Ireland and Portugal avoid this list, but Italy, Greece and Spain are featured.

I should say that a majority of the information environment kind of feels really like a household of mirrors in terms of searching for actuality. There is a great deal of so called honest data sailing about out there but from my personal practical knowledge it appears to be like it is almost all the the same bs. I have already been browsing for opt-in personal data that I’ll get started with for email ads in a few personalized industry segments but what we’ve acquired so far seem like it was quite frankly harvested off of online resources. Most of the websites available to choose from are warm and helpful but I truly feel dizzy just attempting to sort through all the successes of high quality computer data.
