Payscale is a great site you can use to compare your salary offers (or current salary) with other people in your field.  It aggregates data anonymously, so you can know the going market rate for your job offer (or current position!).  Anyway, Payscale has a large amount of data from various sources.  One of the variables they track is the college that Payscale participants attended.

March Madness

I don’t know how your bracket is doing in the current NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament (as I write this, St. Mary’s is beating Villanova at halftime… and I went 21/32 in the first round), but Payscale has rerun the 2009 bracket by average salary by school.  My school, USC, gets further than it did in the tournament… and makes it all the way to the Final Four.  North Carolina, the eventual champion, went down in the Sweet Sixteen.  Duke pulls off the win in the salary department (over Cornell, $102,000 to $91,700).  For all the details, follow the image link!
